Oh man

taken from lauriethemuppet, who nicked from simnels who nicked it from bondchick_nett

Instructions: Put your music player on shuffle, and write down the first line of the first twenty songs. Post the poem that results. Twenty-first song first line is the title.

When a Man Lies, He Murders
So this ain't the end - I saw you again today
When I'm walking beside her
Well they took some honey from a tree
What in the world happened to you?
Are you ready to be liberated?

It's another lonely eve'nin'
I once had a girl
Her majesty's a pretty nice girl
I want to tell you
We fought your wars with all our hearts

Oh dear what can I do?
And this is what it's like when worlds collide
No matter how hard you try, you can't stop us now
You'll never know how much I really love you
Something's in the air

I'm a loser
Tell the people
All my little plans and schemes
I get up around seven
So close, no matter how far

There's about ten Beatles songs in there, and still it has a morose feel to it.

Writing

I've tried this post THREE times now and I'm getting really fed up. I dont have Messenger open and I've turned Norton off, so why is this computer so slow? Is it LJ, is it my internet connection?
Anyway, here's three pieces of writing for you to read. All characters' personalities are factual, but the situations are entirely fictonal. Collapse )

Perforation
Handle the shaft
Grab the haft
Polish the blade
For shine in the shade
Time to begin
Cut the skin
Ribbon slices
Feel the nicest
Let's throw a party
With meat confetti!

I actually wrote that while chilling with Dave in his basement a while ago. He asked me what was so funny about what I was writing, to which I answered 'MEAT CONFETTI!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA' and went hysterical. He read it and said 'What's with you and cutting? Why is it so funny?'. Because. It is.

i....

I was going to type one of my poems, but I can't find my poetry...it must be at school, locked away.
In any case, I'm really tired and I'm going to go to bed. Let's just hope my poetry binder isn't free-roaming anywhere. You get the 32 page hilroy notebooks at zellers + wal*mart, right? Right.
